Recently I've also tried to do all my baking at once so that I don't have the oven on every night. It's a lot of work but so nice to get it all done at once. Tomorrow for breakfast, I'm trying your microwave egg trick. They are soooo cool. Like 2 minutes and they're done. And I don't have to boil any water or anything.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13024392628362568010noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2636276801598025978.post-13749235223858131322008-11-06T11:11:00.000-07:002008-11-06T11:11:00.000-07:00I have never tried cooking eggs in the microwave, ...I have never tried cooking eggs in the microwave, even though I have a friend who swears by it! Maybe I should try it. I read in the book It's Easy Being Green that a microwave can be considered a "green" appliance because it is much more efficient than the stovetop or oven.

I know some people are afraid of the microwave . . . radiation, zapping nutrients, maybe some other issues. I have never really understood what those were all about. (Nor have I bothered looking it up!) I lived without a microwave for many years, but when my husband and I moved in together, he bought one within the first week. I use it fairly often now.

Okay, I'm getting off track here! Thanks for joining us for Thrifty Green Thursday yet again!Rebeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14497842103839179202noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2636276801598025978.post-28072495126408683352008-11-06T06:44:00.000-07:002008-11-06T06:44:00.000-07:00That's a fantastic idea. I eat oatmeal every morning, and even though I bulk it up with granola, my stomach feels empty a few hours later. Maybe I'll bring some eggs to work to zap them in the morning, too! Great idea :o)

I was all ready to participate in TGT today, but I was way to tired last night to do my post. Next week!Wayfaring Wandererhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02601279315250019787noreply@blogger.com
