Two Ivory Birds

Two ivory birds
Have nested in sixteen trees
At holiday time.

The birds have endured
Some not-so-comfy fir trees
But love is constant.

I can't wait to take out my old ornaments. That's one of my favorite parts of Christmas. My daughter is 6 and is old enough now to hear the stories behind them.

Great 'ku!

Wow I really liked this one! Simple but awesome. My parents still hang the ornament they received for their first Christmas almost 30 years ago!

I love the ornament, and your haiku is very beautiful! My husband and I have only been married for a year and a half... 16 years seems like a looong time. Hopefully that's a good thing. :)
