A parched earth cries for
a drink from wooly white clouds.
An unanswered plea.

I feel silly complaining about dry, warm weather in winter. But as this photo shows, the Denver area is bone dry, which makes me worry about water restrictions and wildfires this summer if we don’t get some spring snow.

Oh my! I'll pray for you to get some precipitation soon! Will snow work? I will gladly send ya some snow ;-)
We're having the same problem in Oklahoma.
I'm sending you tons of rainy day thoughts! Here's hoping you get tons of rain.
Wow, that's a scary thought to think about drought so early in the year. I hope some much needed rain comes your way. I loved the haiku and the photo.
Thank you so much for playing along.

We are facing the same things here in San Diego.
Lovely,lovely photo and 'ku.
And yes, seems strange to be looking at dry in the midst of winter but correct to be wondering and anxious about what summer could bring. Here's hoping for much snow and soon!
May h20 come your way...
I wish I could send you some of our snow. I hope you get some soon! :o)
It definitely looks dry. You folks need some rain or some of our snow or something!
You guys are in some serious need of wet.
I hope you get lots of rain soon
I have a friend who lives a bit north of Denver, at the top of a mountain and the fire danger is so stressful
Great picture, sorry your having a drought though. Happy Friday!
things are so parched here, it is scary then the wind whips up and you can see all that dust.
hope you get some water soon!
I'll definitely pray that rain heads your way soon!
I can send you some snow, too! :)
If any snow threatens to come my way, I will try to send it scooting on over to you in Denver!
I live in CA and my friend half kiddingly said to me: "I feel like any day now, I'm going to open my front door and a tumbleweed is going to fly by".
What is happening today is so so reminiscent of the depression I am frightened.
