What Comes

Pearls strung in the sky
Shine on the dirty day.
A glimpse of what comes.

I took this photo last week. At the time, my dad was in the hospital, very sick from chemotherapy. I wasn't sure he was going to make it, but he did, and is doing much better this week. The photo seemed to predict the fortuitous turn of events.

That is a lovely sight to be moving toward. How could one help feeling hopeful? May things keep getting better for you and your family.

You have written a wonderful post with the right amount of perspective: even in the dark sky, the hope of the sun peering through makes the picture just a little bit brighter - hope always abounds!

Beautiful sky, it is opening up, getting rid of the clouds. Glad your Dad is doing better.

Hi Cathy, I like your 'pearls' strung so beautifully, peeking out from the veil of the darker clouds.
Happy Sky Looking, thanks for peeking at my St. Thomas sky and poem.

I love the way the sunlight breaks through to create just the one bright spot in an otherwise gloomy sky. May your life continue to be filled with brilliant break through moments.

And what a coincidence, I just wrote a post about the darkness and light of the clouds too! So glad to hear your Dad is on the mend.
