Miniature Greenhouse

Here's a great way to reuse plastic large juice bottles: cut the bottom off the bottle and place it over plants at night to keep the frost off of them. We're using the bottles to help our newly planted strawberry plants survive in Colorado's fickle spring weather.

Great idea! I have to admit that I haven't even gotten plants in the ground, but when I do I shall give this fabulous recycling idea a whirl. Thanks for joining us this Thrifty Green Thursday!

That is a good idea! I want to do more to extend our growing season if possible.

What a great idea! My husband always gets all excited about planting too early and then everything dies when it gets cold for a day or two.
