A Rock

Rock set in the earth.
Water slowly wears it down--
A slickened surface.

very nice haiku!! okay, but I'm confused.....I thought haiku was 7/5/7 with syllables, but yours is 5/7/5. Oh wait, I got it now (LOL) because I remember they are 17 syllables and mine is 19. Dang; I wrote a poem today with 7/5/7; will have to re-vamp it

okay, now that I got that out of my system, your haiku(s) are always very nice :)

The photo and haiku make me feel as if I am stepping carefully on the rock.

Great Haiku, do you take all these pictures too Cathy, or do you just find appropriate ones, as they are fantastic.

A lovely image you created with those words, and an appropriate photo too. Thank you for visiting Fresh Ink Books. As soon as you become a follower I will process your entry to win one of my chapbooks of haiku.
I hope to do a haiku feature weekly.
