YouTube To The Rescue

It’s an ambulance!

No, wait, it's a robot!

Actually, it’s a mangled mess.
The next time your son hands you some plastic parts and asks you to transform them, don’t despair. Go to the YouTube web site and search for Transformers. You’ll find hundreds of videos, such as this one, which will show you, step by step, how to transform the robot, Bumble Bee, into a Camero.
Yes, there are people out there whom spend their free time filming themselves “transforming” cheap plastic toys from China.
And, as a mother of two sons obsessed with Transformer toys, I am eternally grateful to them.

Color me happy that my son hasn't even heard of transformers - yet.

I can't wait until my sons are into transformers. I will totally be using YouTube then!

You're kinder than I ever was, Cathy! My sons had transformers - eons ago - and there was no youtube to help in the process. When they asked for my help I would simply tell them to use their imaginations - lol! "No, honey, it's supposed to look like a mangled mess! Honestly."

OMG, we have done this too. My son is obsessed with BUMBLEBEE and some of them are IMPOSSIBLE to do. Thank God for *grown* men who make You Tube videos of transforming them, otherwise I would lose my mind.

I never thought to do that. We've had our share of managled transformers in our house too. great idea :)

Thank god for that, i love and hate those things, they keep him amused for so long but yes we have the tangled mess at the end. I'd rather solve a rubiks cube than those!

Oh my gosh - I'm going to have to keep this in mind. My kids aren't into Transformers yet, but if they ever move on from trains (please, no! we've invested a fortune!) I'm going to need a whole new level of training!

I know, aren't they cool? DuckyBoy and I have started to make some of our own videos but I haven't put them up yet. Will keep you posted!
